Spiritual Direction Training Program
Do YOU feel called to learn how to do spiritual direction for another? San Damiano House of Prayer invites YOU to consider the ministry of Spiritual Direction.
We will begin our 10th Spiritual Direction Training Program in
October, 2016. Classes will be held here at the San Damiano House of Prayer on Tuesday evenings.
For your convenience, we have attached a packet that includes a Welcome letter, a Registration form, a Detailed course description, Financial agreement
and Course calendar: Spiritual Direction Training Program 2016 packet.

A Spiritual Direction Certification Program 2016-2018 will also begin this fall at St. Anthony Shrine & Ministry Center in Boston. Classes will be held on Saturdays. Religion Awakens to the Universe Story
In this five-session program we will ask how Catholic thought can contribute to the scientific understanding of the universe. Check back in September for more information. This program will begin October 26th and will continue on Wednesdays.
Contemplative Eucharist will return to the San Damiano House of Prayer during Advent. Fr. Norm will celebrate the Eucharist on four Wednesday evenings during Advent beginning on November 30th at 6:30pm. Contemplative Eucharist is an invitation to bring together silence and mysticism within liturgy. More information to follow.

San Damiano House of Prayer invites you to deepen your spirituality and find that "still, small voice of God" in your life by considering meeting with a spiritual director. Congratulations to the Graduates of our Ninth Spiritual Direction Training Program
On Sunday, April 10th, we celebrated the graduation of our 9th Spiritual Direction Training Class.
Please join us in congratulating this year's graduates: Elizabeth Conlon, Diane Dube, Francine Gikow, Benedict LoCasto, Rachel LoCasto, Richard Madaglia, Nataliya Poto, Joseph Ricciardi, Jacqueline Ro, Cheryl Rodriguez and Lorraine Wile. Also pictured in the photo to the left, along with the graduates, are the Director of the Spiritual Direction Training Program, Sister Linda Greenwood, OSF and Michael Taylor, our representative from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee.
Fr. Paul Ritt celebrated the graduation Mass at St. John the Evangelist church in Chelmsford. The Mass was followed by a reception for friends and families in the lower hall. We wish to thank all of the volunteers who helped make the ceremony and reception very special for our graduates.

The Contemplative Dimension of the 12 Steps
An 11th Step Centering Prayer Retreat is being offered by the 12-Step Outreach sector of Contemplative Outreach of Boston. This conference is for people who participate in any 12-Step program, or those who support recovery, and have the intention to improve their meditation practice and enlarge their spiritual life. The retreat will take place September 23rd to 25th at the Notre Dame Spirituality Center located in Ipswich, MA. Please follow this link for more information and this link to register.
The Heart of the Matter: A Silent Retreat for Men and Women
A Centering Prayer retreat directed by Fr. Bill Sheehan, O.M.I.,is being offered and will begin in the last week of July at the Immaculata Retreat House in Willimantic Connecticut. Please follow this link for more information.

A Spiritual Support Group for Parents who are grieving the loss of a child of any age by any cause meets here at San Damiano House of Prayer on the last Saturday of the month
The San Damiano House of Prayer through the Emmaus Ministry offers this monthly support group. All parents are welcomed to attend regardless of how long ago or how recent their loss has been. We offer a safe and sacred place for parents to share their grief. Please go to the Services page for more information.
A Surviving Sibling Support Group is now being offered at Saint John the Evangelist Old Parish Hall, 115 Middlesex Street, North Chelmsford, MA for surviving Adult siblings of all ages and for any reason. All are welcome to a safe place to share their story, find comfort, hope and encouragement as you continue a new path in life. Meetings are held on the last Saturday of each month from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. The group will not meet during summer months but will resume on Saturday, September 24th, the last Saturday of September.
A Hope for Healing of Addictions: St. Francis Parish community, 115 Wheeler Road, Dracut (www.saintfrancis.net) invites you to join them on the last Monday of every month from 6-7pm during their extended Eucharistic Adoration to pray for those suffering from addictions, for caregivers, for families and friends of those addicted and for all those in recovery. There is rosary along with other prayers. Come and sit quietly or join in the prayers. All are welcomed!

The Emmaus Ministry for Grieving Parents offers spiritual retreats and other programs for grieving parents. In the Franciscan tradition "All are Welcome". The doors are open to all grieving parents of all religions whose children of any age have died by any cause, no matter how long ago.
